Remember that you, yes I’m talking to you, are created by God.  When you read Genesis 1 whatever He made, He said it was good and you are not exempted. So it is simple – you are good!

“God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.”    ( Genesis 1:31)

That does not mean we are just an amazing work of His creation but it means that we are certified by God to be fit for purpose. We represent him.  Therefore, He is proud of us as we are product of his handiwork. You are good enough, you are made by God.

God does not create anything without having a plan for it.

Sometimes especially when we face failures we question ourselves. We worked hard for something, we really tried yet in our mind all sort of questions appear about our abilities, about justice and if it was even worth the try? If we did not try there would be no failure, what is the point of trying?

“Trust in Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”  (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Set your trust on the Lord and turn to His directions. Sometimes we do not get something that we want and it is because there is something greater for us! At the moment you may feel that it does not make sense but the future will show you that everything happens for a reason.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).

God made you with a purpose and a plan. Once you discover it, nothing will give you fulfilment like this wonderful and perfect purpose He created uniquely for you. Yes, you are stuck with it I’m afraid!( in a good way of course :P)

Remember that all your failures and mistakes are lessons. Do not dwell on past but learn from it. There is wisdom in all our experiences.

“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails” (Proverbs 19:21).

Ask yourself what do you love to do? What are you good at? Where do you see yourself in the future? What dreams do you have? What does your heart say? These are hints which can direct us in what God wants you to do. However, you have to pray about it as sometimes what we want is not what God wants us to be or do. It has to start with God.

Do not let life pass you by and waste your potential because you were too comfortable or too scared. Please, pray about it. Talk to Him about it and trust Him. Do not listen to people who tells you: you can’t do this and criticise you. Do your own thing and trust God.

You are good enough!

There were many people in Bible who were used by God. Do you think only Kings and other highly positioned people have been used by God? Not at all!

Let’s look at Deborah in book of Judges 4 and 5. Have you heard about her?  One of the greatest women of strong conviction and courage who stood and fought at the Lord’s command. She was a married woman and her husband was not a King and none of the great positions. He was a simple man with no wealth or great reputation.

She began serving God from a very humble job – taking care of lamps in the tabernacle. See! She was not great at first yet she became a leader and judge of Israel when under captivity with the Canaanites.

She was not born with a silver spoon, she had no particular privilege or position yet she rose to such a  high position and she was a woman!  It was thousands of years before Jesus birth and a woman was leading the nation. The only female judge mentioned in the Bible and one of few female prophetess. Wow! Isn’t it amazing?!

“ Lord and King has taught me what to say.  He has taught me how to help those who are tired. He wakes me up every morning. He makes me want to listen like a good student.
The Lord and King has unplugged my ears. I’ve always obeyed him. I haven’t turned away from him.” ( Isaiah 50: 4-5)

She was a woman who listened and obeyed God. She spent time with the Lord and lived her life according to the instruction of His words.

She kept asking God what He wanted her to do. Her obedience affected not only her life but that of an entire nation. She brought freedom to people from a cruel oppressor. She instructed Barak about the plan of an attack as he was leading the fight, she said that God commanded it.  It has not been her decision. She just delivered the message from the Lord. She was God’s vessel. Barak wanted Deborah to go with him for the battle. He knew God will bless his fight. They defeated the enemy and fulfilled God’s will.

I read some articles in which elderly people were asked: what is the thing they regret the most in life? They usually say they were not brave enough to really do the things they wanted. They cared too much about others opinions and the fear of judgement. Imagine if somebody discouraged Deborah saying she was a woman and no one will ever listen to her.

It could stop us from fulfilling our purpose. A late testimony is better than no testimony.

And every test can turn into testimony!

The worst thing to do is to let the fear of failure to suppress your potential.

Do not snore on your purpose, do not turn your potential into a pillow. Wake up to God’s plan today!

Through prayer, time spent with the Lord and obedience you can find the right place for yourself.

You just need to ask Him. Do not be afraid.

Stay Blessed!
