I watched in amazement at this awesome testimony by David Wood. In case you do not know, David Wood is a popular Christian apologetic. He is the co-host of the show; Jesus or Mohammed and contributor to websites such as answering-islam (visit site) and answering muslims ( visit site). His story is shared in the video below. it is hard to believe that such a strong follower and apologetic of Christ had such a past, but then I think of what God did with Paul and I realize that God is still in the business of raising Pauls for His Kingdom.  1 Timothy 1:12-15 tells us;

 “I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength to do his work. He considered me trustworthy and appointed me to serve him, even though I used to blaspheme the name of Christ. In my insolence, I persecuted his people. But God had mercy on me because I did it in ignorance and unbelief. Oh, how generous and gracious our Lord was! He filled me with the faith and love that come from Christ Jesus. This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”—and I am the worst of them all. But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life. All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; he alone is God. Amen.”

This is similar to David Wood’s story, he was mentally ill and in prison for almost killing his father, but God picked him up and made him a new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17) and then transformed his mind (Romans 12:2) Hallelujah!

In his concluding remarks, He said something that really struck me. He said; “history is filled up with a lot of dead options, but Jesus is the last and only living option.” He said; “true freedom is having the desire not to turn against the creator.”

In the words of C.S Lewis; “I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen; not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.”

Indeed, God gave him a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26). Watch and be blessed!
